Massive Fire Breaks Out at Andhra Temple During Ram Navami Celebrations

Amravati (Andhra Pradesh): A massive fire broke out at Venugopal Swamy Temple during Ram Navami celebrations in Andhra Pradesh’s West Godavari district.

The temple is situated in the Duva village. No casualties were reported so far.

Earlier today, over 25 devotees fell into the stepwell at Shri Beleshwar Mahadev Jhulelal Temple after the floor sank in. Meanwhile, several are feared trapped.

The incident took place in the Patel Nagar area of Indore on Thursday while the devotees were sitting on the floor during hawan at the temple, under which there was a Bawadi or a stepwell.

Several videos following the incident showed chaos and rescue operations at the temple.

Ten people have been so far rescued following the incident.

Efforts were on to rescue those trapped inside the well.

All Indore Municipal Corporation (MIC) members including Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava left the Mayor & Council meeting midway and rushed to the accident site.
