Mini-truck Catches Fire in Odisha’s Balasore

Balasore: A minitruck loaded with plastic goods caught fire on NH-60 near Basta toll gate in Odisha’s Balasore district. Luckily the driver of the mini-truck escaped unhurt.

According to reports, the plastic goods-laden min-truck was heading to West Bengal from Balasore.

On the way to West Bengal, the driver noticed the fire from the rear side. He parked the vehicle on the side of the highway and got down safely. He immediately alerted the fire department about this.

After receiving information, the fire service personnel rushed to the spot and doused the flames. The fire burnt the plastics to ashes and also caused extensive damage to the vehicle.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.

On being informed, local police reached the spot and started to probe.
