Minister & Swami Fume over Pathan’s ‘Besharam Rang’

Two weeks before its release Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Pathan evoked opposition and protests. Besharam Rang, the first song of the movie, now making rounds on social media has landed the movie in trouble.

Madhya Pradesh minister Dr Narottam Mishra is angry over the use of hot swimsuits in saffron colour worn by Deepika in this song sequence of the film. The Madhya Pradesh Minister said that the film contains some objectionable scenes, and threatened to ban Pathaan in Madhya Pradesh if the outfits and scenes were not changed in the film.

He also shared a tweet in which he termed Deepika Padukone a supporter of the tukde-tukde gang. In his tweet in Hindi, he also wrote that “the costumes are highly objectionable and the song has been shot with a dirty mindset.”

Meanwhile, Swami Chakrapani Maharaj also came down on this song sequence of Pathan through a tweet. He wrote, “There has been an insult of saffron and Hindu Sanskrit in Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathaan. Why is the film censor board sleeping? We will impose a ban! The Hindu Mahasabha will oppose it.”

Pathaan’s first song, Besharam Rang was released on December 12. The song has beautifully captured some serene locations in Spain showing Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan dancing together. Deepika Padukone looks too hot in never-seen-before hot attire and dance moves.
