Naba Das Assassination: CB Interrogates ASI Gopal Das’ Wife Again

Berhampur: A team of Crime Branch reached Berhampur on Tuesday night to interrogate the accused in Naba Das murder case, ASI Gopal Das’ wife Jayanthi Das.

According to sources, lady inspector Anila Anand interrogated Jayanthi at Gopal’s ancestral house in Jaleshwarkhandi. While interrogating, she was assisted by lady DSP Sathini Oram of Berhampur police.

Notably, soon after the crime on January 29, Jayanthi had told media persons that her husband was suffering from bipolar disorder and was undergoing treatment for the condition.

Presently, Jayanthi and her children are currently staying with her parents in Berhampur.

Naba Das, who sustained critical injuries after ASI Gopal Das opened fire at him, has been airlifted from the Jharsuguda District Headquarters Hospital to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar.

Odisha’s Health and Family Welfare minister Naba Kishore Das was shot at by an assistant sub-inspector of police in Jharsuguda district on Sunday. The ASI has been taken into custody for interrogation and investigation.
