Odisha School’s Academic Session 2023-24 to Start from April

Bhubaneswar: The academic session in Odisha schools for the year 2023-24 will start in April.

According to the notification released by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha, the academic session 2023-24 will be from the month of April 2023 to March 2024.

The notification also added that there will be no change in the syllabus for the academic session 2023-24.

“The syllabus followed for the academic session 2022-23 in all courses will continue for the academic session 2023-24. The courses for HSC and Madhyama will continue for 2023-24 as per the breakup of the syllabus for four quarters which has been uploaded to the website www.bseodisha.ac.in,” the notification read.

The assessment for 2023-24 will be the same as that was followed by 2022-23, which is based on continuous comprehensive evaluation with the following weightage given for different assessments:

Internal Assessment – 20%
Summative Assessment-I – 40%
Summative Assessment-II – 40%

As per the notification, the Aspirational Components as per the High School transformation under the 5T initiative introduced in Class 9 from 2022-23 shall be made functional in Class 10 from the current academic session 2023-24. The procedure for the conduct of Aspirational Components has been uploaded to the above website for the information of all concerned. Marks in Aspirational Components will be given out of 100 marks (25 marks in each component) which will be reflected in the certificate of the students separately.
