One Killed, Two Injured In Clash Between Two Families In Angul

Angul: A person was killed while two others sustained injuries after a clash between two families over a land dispute in Ladajomsar village of Angul district on Thursday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Nabeena Sahu, the injured have been admitted to Angul District Headquarters Hospital (DHH).

According to reports, an altercation ensued between two families over the ownership of land for the past few days. On Thursday morning, the dispute turn ugly after both sides attacked each other with sticks and sharp weapons.

Subsequently, Nabeena Sahu died on the spot in a fierce show of aggression by Raghunath’s family, while the former’s wife Ashanti Sahu sustained serious injuries.

On getting information, a team from the Jharpada police station reached the spot and launched a probe into the incident.
