Online Matrimonial Cheating on Rise: Odisha Police Cautions Future Brides & Grooms

Bhubaneswar: With more and more cases of cheating through matrimonial websites coming to the fore, Odisha Police on Tuesday issued an advisory for prospective brides and grooms to save themselves from fraudsters prowling on matrimonial sites.

On Tuesday, Odisha Police Tweeted three guidelines for families, as well as prospective brides and grooms, who are searching for marital partners through the online search on matrimonial sites.

According to Odisha Police, anyone aspiring to build up relations through matrimonial sites should-

1) Collect detail information about the background of the person concerned.

2) Never share personal details immediately with anyone on matrimonial sites.

3) Do not be tempted by the words of online contacts on matrimonial sites.
