Pintu Nanda’s Mortal Remain Reaches Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The mortal remains of Ollywood actor Pintu Nanda arrived at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. His body was brought from Hyderabad.

The veteran actor’s body will be kept at his residence here for the people to pay their last respects. His last rites will most probably be performed tomorrow at Swargadwara in Puri.

It is pertinent to be mentioned that Pintu Nanda breathed his last late yesterday night while undergoing treatment at Hyderabad-based Yashoda Hospital.

Nanda was suffering from liver cirrhosis and doctors attending him had advised liver transplantation. He died at the age of 45.

The actor was admitted to Hyderabad’s Yasoda Hospital as no donor was available at New Delhi’s Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS).

According to reports, a family member was supposed to donate their liver to Pintu, but that did not work out owing to a mismatch of blood groups and various other reasons. Before another donor could be arranged, Nanda breathed his last on Wednesday night.
