Mortal Remains Of Pintu Nanda Consigned To Flames

Puri: The mortal remains of Ollywood actor Pintu Nanda consigned to flames at Swargadwara in the Puri district of Odisha on Friday. Pintu, one of the most famous actors in the Odia film industry, passed away while undergoing treatment for liver-related problems at a Hyderabad-based hospital. He died at the age of 45.

The last rites of Pintu Nanda were performed at Swargadwar crematorium in Puri in the afternoon.

Several people including Pintu Nanda’s family, friends and large number of fans were seen at the airport. Some Ollywood actors also paid their tributes.

The actor’s mortal remains were flown back to Bhubaneswar on Thursday night.

The actor was suffering from liver cirrhosis. He was initially admitted to a Bhubaneswar-based private hospital and on February 7 he was flown to New Delhi and was admitted to the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS).
