Plus II College Girl Sets Self On Fire In Her Bid To Commit Suicide, Hospitalised

Sundargarh: A plus II college girl attempted to commit suicide at around 11 am today by setting herself on fire.

Reportedly, the incident took place while all other inmates were busy with their own work when the Plus II student went inside a bathroom of the hostel and set fire to herself.

After hearing her scream, some inmates along with hostel staff reached the spot and rescued her. She was sent to the hospital in an ambulance vehicle.

The reason behind the girl taking an extreme step has not been ascertained yet, the police official said.
