Rain, Thunderstorm To Bring Relief From Heat Wave Conditions In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that thunderstorms may occur in several Odisha districts today.

As per the weather agency, thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph are very likely to occur at some places including Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts on Wednesday.

Similarly, thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places in Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Dhenkanal, and Angul districts today.

Light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is also very likely to occur at a few places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, and Jajpur districts and in some places in Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Boudh, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Koraput, and the coastal districts of Odisha, the IMD added.
