RRR’s Rajamoulli Wins Best Director Award in New York

Two more international awards were added to the cap of RRR. Its director SS Rajamouli won the best director tag at the New York Film Critics Circle Awards ceremony, reported Variety.

Rajamouli outshined great Hollywood legends like Steven Spielberg, Darren Aronofsky, Sarah Polley, and Gina Prince-Blythewood to win this award. RRR has been released across the globe in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. It was also released in Japan as well as America. Rajamoulli’s RRR is being considered for various categories for the Oscars next year.

SS Rajamouli’s RRR is his next film after the 2017 blockbuster Bahubali 2; The Conclusion. RRR tells a fictitious story based in 1920 about two legendary freedom fighters – Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. Ram Charan and Jr NTR were in the lead roles of the movie that also starred Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn, Olivia Morris, Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson.
