Rs 2000 Cr Worth Transformation Plan for VSSUT Approved by Odisha Cabinet

Bhubaneswar: A massive sum of Rs 2000 crore would be spent for the transformation of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT). The Odisha Cabinet on Monday approved this investment proposal, in a meeting of the cabinet chaired by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. A total of 18 proposals were approved in this cabinet meeting.

“Implementation of the institute development plan for the transformation of the VSSUT, Burla with an outlay of Rs 2000 crore will broaden the horizon and give an impetus to multi-disciplinary teaching and research. This will also help in introducing new-generation industry-oriented and employment-linked courses. Moreover, this will expand the scope for opening different schools to deliver multi and interdisciplinary courses,” the government press release stated.

“It will also enable the university to have better access to academic resources and intellectual capital worldwide. This will facilitate the university to have a strong focus on research and introduce doctoral and post-doctoral programs,” it added.
