Security Gaurd Attacked for Not Giving Address; One Arrested

Bhubaneswar: The security guard of an apartment was allegedly attacked with a sword as he did not give the address to a young man.

The accused was identified as Rakesh Champati from the Sundarpada area. The victim was identified as Jagdish.

It is suspected that the accused knowingly did so based on the previous enmity. The accused also allegedly shouted, used abusive words and threatened to kill the security guard with petrol bombs.

According to sources, on the afternoon of the incident, when both the brothers were on duty, Rakesh, along with an accomplice, came on a motorcycle and searched for a young man named Adetwa Prasad Dora to take revenge based on past enmity. As both the brothers who were present there did not tell him his address, the following accused sprang up and threatened both of them by abusing them in abusive language and showing them a bottle full of petrol.

Later, an argument started between them and the accused fatally attacked both of them with the help of a sword.

In the attack, the victim got a deep wound on his shoulder. During this time, the accused slapped the complainant hard and tore off the silver chain from his neck and ran away from the spot.

The accused even threatened to kill them if they informed the police.

After the receiving complaint of the incident, Chandrashekharpur police station registered.

Acting on the tip-off, police arrested the accused. They also seized the sword, petrol bottle and lighter from him.
