Show-Cause Notice Served to Pratihari Sevayat for Delay in ‘Dwara Phita’ Ritual at Puri Srimandir

Puri: For an alleged delay in the conduct of the ‘Dwara Phita’ ( door opening) ritual at Puri Srimandir, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has served a notice to a Pratihari servitor.

The notice has been served to Bada Dwara Pratihari sevayat Shivshankar Mohapatra. As per reports, on Friday the Dwara Phita ritual was delayed by around 35 minutes. Because of it, the subsequent rituals of the temple were delayed.

In its notice, SJTA has ordered the concerned Pratihari servitor to answer the show-cause notice within seven days. If the he doesn’t reply to the SJTA notice, action will be initiated against him as per the Shree Jagannath Temple Act.
