Shraddha Murder Shadow: Wife, Stepson Drain Blood Before Cutting Body Into Pieces

New Delhi: Days after the grisly murder of Delhi’s Shraddha Walkar continued to unravel, similar cases are becoming hot topics in media channels.

Meanwhile, scenes of the gruesome Shraddha murder case of Delhi got reenacted in the city’s Pandav Nagar.

On being interrogated by police, the accused confessed to having committed the crime.

They cut up the body into 10 pieces, put them into polythene bags, and stored them in the fridge, the accused told police.

“They murdered Das in June. They first spiked his drink and killed him with a dagger once he was unconscious. They let the body drain blood through the night,” police said.

“Over the next few days, the accused threw away the pieces. We have found six pieces so far. It is during these visits that CCTV cameras in the area captured Poonam and Deepak,” police added.

“Later, they cleaned the house and fridge to remove any stench. They also told neighbours that Das had just left home without informing anyone,” police further added.

A woman and her son were arrested on Monday for allegedly murdering her husband, chopping up the body, storing the pieces in a fridge, and then disposing of them.

The murder was planned so dramatic way that none of their family members remained unnoticed for months.

The deceased, identified as Anjan Das, a resident of Pandav Nagar in Delhi was murdered by his wife Poonam, and stepson Deepak.

The sharp weapon has been recovered and a search is on to find the knife used in the murder.
