Soldier of Indian Army Beaten to Death by DMK Councilor & Others in TN

Chennai: A 33-year-old soldier of the Indian Army was allegedly beaten to death by a DMK councilor and others in Tamil Nadu’s Krishnagiri. The soldier was murdered following a dispute over washing clothes near a water tank, reported India Today.

The deceased soldier has been identified as Prabhakaran. According to police sources, the soldier and the DMK councilor Chinnasamy got into a heated altercation over washing clothes near a tank in the Pochampalli area.

Following it Chinnasamy and nine of his associates allegedly attacked Prabhakaran and his brother Prabhu on that night. Prabhakaran was seriously injured. He succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital on Tuesday.

Basing on the complaint lodged by Prabhu, six men including Chinnasamy’s son were arrested. The search is on to nab Chinnasamy, who has been absconding since the day of the attack.
