New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided the premises of the associates of Jaswinder Singh Multani, a member of the banned separatist outfit Sikhs for Justice (SFJ), in more than 100 places in several states.

Jaswinder Singh Multani had planted a bomb near Model Burail Jail in Chandigarh. He was tracked down and arrested in Germany in 2021 for masterminding the Ludhiana court blast.

In response to five cases registered against the nexus of terror-narcotics-smugglers-gangsters, the NIA sleuths conducted the raids in Delhi-NCR, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and some other states.

According to NIA sources, the gangsters camping abroad are allegedly attempting to spread terror by funding the Khalistani separatists.
