The arrival of Namibian cheetahs awakened India’s nature-loving consciousness: PM Modi

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is celebrating his 72nd birthday today (September 17). On this occasion, he reached Madhya Pradesh to attend 4 important programs covering diverse areas like wildlife, environment, women empowerment, and skill and youth development.

First, he released 8 cheetahs brought to India from Namibia in the quarantine enclosures built in the Kuno Forest Sanctuary of Sheopur. These cheetahs were brought to the Indian Air Force airbase in Gwalior this morning by a special cargo plane. From here, these cheetahs were brought to the Kuno Forest Sanctuary from the Chinook helicopter of the Air Force. PM Modi opened the cage door by pressing the button and released the cheetahs in the Kuno National Park. After attending this program, PM Modi will address the conference of women’s self-help groups in Madhya Pradesh.
