Threat to Assassinate PM & UP CM; Lucknow Teenager Held

New Delhi: A police team from Noida nabbed a school student on Friday from Lucknow for making threats to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. The teenager is alleged to have sent an email to a media house, threatening to assassinate Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The 16-year-old boy hails from Bihar. He was rounded up in the Chinhat area of Lucknow. He has just been promoted to Class 12.

Noida police had lodged an FIR against “unknown” person after a media house representative approached them with a complaint, stating they have received an email threatening to assassinate the prime minister and the Uttar Pradesh chief minister.

The boy was produced in a juvenile court for further legal proceedings.
