Three Arrested for Fake Currency Circulation

Bhubaneswar: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Odisha crime branch has arrested three persons involved in fake currency circulation. The team has arrested two accused from Deogarh and one from Dhenkanal.

The two accused arrested from Deogarh were identified as Biswanath Acharya and Trinath Dash.

The STF arrested the main accused, Tushar Kumar Biswal from Dhenkanal. The team also seized fake currency notes worth Rs 1.96 lakh from his possession.

According to reports, during the search, Fake Indian Currency Notes (FICN) worth Rs 1,90,600 and other incriminating articles were seized from the residence of the accused. The STF also seized papers used for printing fake notes, a laptop, and two printers.

The STF had busted fake currency note racket in the State at four places in the current year, STF DSP SN Rath said.
