The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday forecasted thunderstorms with lightning and gusty surface wind in some areas of Odisha during the next five days.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khordha.

Thunderstorms with lightning are very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Puri, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput.

Yellow Warning: Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty surface wind speed reaching 40-50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Dhenkanal, Kandhamal.
