Two Planes Collide Mid-air at US Airshow; 6 dead

Dallas: Six flight crew members lost their lives in a mid-air collision of two planes during an airshow in Dallas.

A Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress bomber and a Bell P-63 Kingcobra fighter collided and crashed at the Wings Over Dallas Airshow at Dallas Executive Airport at 1:20 p.m. CST (12:50 am IST), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) said in a statement.

The crash happened at the Wings Over Dallas air show at Dallas Executive Airport, which is about 10 miles south of downtown Dallas.

Videos posted online appeared to show a fast and agile airplane slamming into a larger aircraft.
