Two Wildlife Smugglers Held With 2 Live Pangolins In Boudh

Boudh: Special Task Force (STF) officials with the help of Forest personnel of Boudh Forest Division conducted a raid and arrested two persons with the seizure of Pangolins near Boudh Bypass road police station limits on Wednesday evening.

The arrestees have been identified as Uchhab Kanhar and Prasant Kumar Behera from Tikripada under Baghiapada Police station in Boudh District.

Acting on a tip-off, the officials conducted a raid and seized two Live Pangolin weighing 13 kg & 10 kg respectively along with other incriminating materials recovered from their possession.

Following this, a Case under Sec.51 of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 has been registered and the accused persons will be forwarded to the Court of SDJM, Boudh. The Live Pangolins were also handed over to DFO Boudh for safe custody.
