Vedanta Plans to Manufacture Semiconductors in India with Japanese Partnership

New Delhi: Vedanta Group is reported to have signed pacts with 30 technology companies of Japan with an aim to develop an Indian semiconductor and glass display manufacturing ecosystem.

According to sources Vedanta Group signed these pacts in Tokyo last week during the Vedanta-Avanstrate Business Partners Summit 2022. Around 200 delegates from over 100 international companies attended the summit.

During the summit, several companies showed interest to be part of the ecosystem for India’s semiconductor mission.

According to Akarsh K Hebbar, Vedanta Global MD, display, and semiconductor business, the company is committed to make India a hub for electronics manufacturing.
