Woman Dies of Heart Attack After Stepson’s Suicide in Boudh

Boudh: A woman named Poin Haripal allegedly died of a heart attack following her stepson Susant Haripal’s suicide attempt at Baragan panchayat under Kantamal block of Boudh district on Tuesday.

Susant consumed poison at a relative’s house in Rajenai village of Kandhamal district on Monday. He died while undergoing treatment at the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) in Phulbani of Kandhamal district on Tuesday.

His stepmother in Kantamal was shocked to hear the suicide of Susant. It is suspected that due to mental agony caused by Susant’s death, his stepmother suffered a heart stroke that caused her death.
