Woman Kills Stepson for Property in Odisha’s Nayagarh

Nayagarh: A woman allegedly killed her specially-abled stepson for property in Similisahi village under Dasapalla police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district.

The deceased was identified as Bijay Pradhan. He was earning for the family by driving an autorickshaw. According to reports, the deceased’s marriage was fixed, which was opposed by his stepmother.

Reportedly,  Bijay’s stepmother had been torturing him for the property. Reacting to it, the deceased man consumed poison. But, the family of the deceased termed the incident as murder.

He was beaten to death by his stepmother. His father had also helped her in the crime, alleged deceased Bijay’s aunt and uncle.

No reports were filed with the police till the last report came.
