Yellow Warning For 19 Districts Of Odisha; May Provide Relief From Heat Wave

Bhubaneswar: After the scorching heat wave during past few days, the State is likely to get some relief in the form of blessings from the rain god.

The Regional Meteorological Centre has predicted rain in several parts of the State from today.

The weather agency has issued a warning of heavy to very heavy rainfall in 19 districts. The districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Angul, Kandhamal, Rayagada, Koraput and Malkangiri districts today.

In addition, light to moderate rain or thunderstorm is very likely to occur at one or two places in Nuapada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Rayagada, Koraput, Malkangiri, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Sundargarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Balasore, Bhadrak and Kendrapara districts.
