15 Critical as Bus Carrying Pilgrims Overturns in Odisha’s Bargarh

Bargarh: At least 15 pilgrims sustained critical injuries, while 17 others suffered minor wounds after a bus carrying them overturned in the Padampur area of Odisha’s Bargarh district on Sunday.

The incident occurred near Sulia village, under the jurisdiction of Buden police station. The bus, carrying around 55 pilgrims from Baloda Bazar, Chhattisgarh, was headed towards Nrusinghanath Temple in Bargarh district.

Preliminary reports suggest the bus driver lost control while navigating a sharp turn, causing the vehicle to overturn.

Police and emergency personnel immediately arrived at the scene and transported the injured to a nearby hospital. Authorities have confirmed that 15 passengers sustained critical injuries, while another 17 received minor treatment.

A full investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
