4 Arrested For Duping Candidates Of Lakhs On Pretext of Providing Jobs at AIIMS

Bhubaneswar: Four people were arrested by the Cyber Police on charges of defrauding job seekers of lakhs of rupees by making false promises of employment at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS).

The fraudsters had posted false job postings on their Facebook pages that invited applicants to apply for a variety of positions at the prestigious hospital. They demanded and accepted thousands of rupees after coming in contact with candidates.

Prior to this, three complaints that were filed with the Cyber Police Station claimed that the complainants had been defrauded of Rs 2.5 lakh. The Cyber police conducted an investigation based on the complaint and ultimately arrested four crooks.

The accused individuals allegedly pretended to be doctors in order to solicit applications from applicants. They were giving job seekers fake appointment letters and robbing them of their money.
