Archana Nag’s hubby Jagabandhu Moves Orissa HC

Cuttack: Lady blackmailer Archana Nag’s husband Jagabandhu Chand on Monday moved to Orissa High Court and filed a bail petition challenging Bhubaneswar Sessions Court’s ruling.

Recently, the ADJ-2 court rejected the bail plea of Jagabandhu in connection with the honey trap case involving Archana’s close aide Sradhanjali.

The remand period of Archana Nag, accused of blackmailing influential persons, ended on Monday. During the seven-day remand, the sex racket accused reportedly didn’t cooperate with the Enforcement Directorate.

It is said that Nag who hinted at the involvement of some political bigwigs in the case, has remained tight-lipped to ED questions.

Meanwhile, many questions arise over Nag’s silence. Was Archan pressurized? Who are behind the scene putting pressure on the blackmailing accused?

Archana Nag was arrested by the Commissionerate Police on October 6 on charges of sextortion and honey trapping. Her husband, Jagabandhu Chand was also arrested on October 22 from his house in Bhubaneswar.

The couple allegedly has gathered assets worth Rs 30 crore by blackmailing high-profile influential people. The case is currently being probed by the Enforcement Directorate (ED).

Veteran Odia film producer, Akshaya Parija, the brother of BJD MLA Sudhir Kumar Samal, Amiyakant Das, Shradhanjali Behera, and Chandan, Archana’s driver, has already testified before the ED in connection with the case.
