Drugs Peddler Held, Brown Sugar Worth Over Rs 28 Lakh Seized In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Excise officials on Saturday seized brown sugar worth over Rs 28 lakh in Bhubaneswar and arrested one person in this connection. The accused has been identified as Tuna Nayak.

Acting on a tip-off regarding the smuggling of brown sugar, the officials raided a specific location at Kedarpali slum in the capital city, recovered the contraband packed in over 1000 packets, and seized it.

Meanwhile, police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the matter to unearth other details regarding the suspected smuggling network.
