Fire Services Havildar Throws Boiling Water at Constable For Being Late To Work in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj

Mayurbhanj: A disturbing incident occurred at the Bangiriposhi fire station in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district on Sunday when a Fire Service Havildar allegedly threw boiling water on a constable on Sunday.

The injured constable, Dushant Dehury, had reportedly been late to the barracks frequently, which frustrated Havildar Nutan Mallick. Instead of reporting the matter to higher authorities, Mallick allegedly resorted to violence.

According to reports, Mallick had allegedly kept a pot of boiling water ready as a warning to Dehury. When Dehury arrived at the barracks, a heated argument ensued, culminating in the assault. The injured constable was immediately taken to a local hospital and later transferred to the district headquarters hospital for further treatment.

An investigation into the matter is currently underway, and appropriate action is expected to be taken against the accused Havildar.
