Four Dead, Four Critical In Blast At Firecracker Unit In Khurda

Khurda: As many as four persons have allegedly lost their lives while four others sustained critical injuries in the blast at a firecracker unit in Tangi area of Khurda district on Monday.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained.

According to reports, the mishap occurred when some people were making firecrackers for the upcoming Holi festival.

Upon being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation in this regard.

Though the exact cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained, it is suspected that overheating may be responsible for the calamity.
