High School Headmaster Lands In Vig Net While Accepting Bribe

Sundargarh: Odisha Vigilance on Friday arrested a Headmaster In-Charge of a High School for allegedly receiving a bribe of Rs 12,000.

The arrestee has been identified as Sanjay Samal, Headmaster In-Charge of Kumjharia SC & ST Development High School in Sundargarh district.

According to Vigilance officials, Samal was accepting a bribe of Rs 12000 from a poor parent for issuing the Original Board Certificate, Marksheet, and School Leaving Certificate of his daughters who had graduated from school recently.

In this connection, Rourkela Vigilance has booked Samal under Section 7 of the P.C. (Amendment) Act, 2018. Further investigation is on.
