Bhubaneswar: BJP National President JP Nadda’s visit to Odisha, initially planned for June 22, has been rescheduled to June 23, as confirmed by Basanta Panda, the party’s Kalahandi MP. The change in schedule is attributed to unforeseen circumstances.
This visit is a significant part of the BJP’s extensive ‘Jan Sampark Abhiyan’ (Public Outreach Campaign) conducted nationwide to commemorate the nine-year tenure of the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre. With the approaching 2024 elections, several prominent BJP leaders are organizing noteworthy programs in Odisha as part of this month-long campaign.
Earlier, Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s visit to Odisha was postponed due to cyclone Biparjoy, which made landfall in Gujarat on June 15. Shah’s original plan was to address a gathering in Dhenkanal on June 17.
