Man Crushed To Death By Goods Train In Sambalpur

Sambalpur: A man was allegedly crushed to death by a goods train in Sambalpur district on Thursday morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the victim was crossing the railway tracks when a goods train hit him, said reports. Subsequently, he died on the spot.

On getting information, the Government Railway Police (GRP) reached the spot and recovered the body for post-mortem. Further investigation is underway in this regard, officials said.

Earlier on January 28, in a similar incident, the son of a former MP Balgopal Mishra died after being hit by a train near Dunguripali railway station in Subarnapur district.

According to reports, Abinash Mishra was out for a morning walk. He was walking close to the railway track. He could not sense the train coming towards him. The train hit him and he succumbed to the injuries immediately.
