Man Killed, Wife Injured As Bike Hits Roadside Pole In Ganjam

Ganjam: A man was killed while her wife sustained critical injuries after the bike they were riding hit an iron pole at Sriramnagar under Bhanjanagar police station limits in Ganjam district.

The deceased has been identified as Bishnucharan Behera of Galeri village under Tarasingi police station.

According to reports, the incident occurred while the couple was on their way to  Bhanjanagar on a bike when the rider lost balance and hit a roadside pole. Subsequently, the couple sustained grievous injuries.

The aware locals rescued the injured couple and rushed them to a nearby hospital. However, the doctors declared Bishnucharan brought dead. While his wife is stated to be critical.

Upon being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation in this regard.
