Minister’s Action Directive on Black Market

Bhubaneswar: After the flood subsided in Mahanadi, the misery is increasing. Due to the flood, many areas remained under water while the family farm was also destroyed. As a result, the black market is growing in the state. While vegetable prices have skyrocketed, prices of daily necessities have also increased.

The camp is facing an unprecedented problem.

However, food and supplies minister Atanu Sabyasachi Naik said that strict action should be taken against traders who knowingly increase prices during disasters like floods. The minister said, “Price hike has emerged as a national problem, but in view of the floods, the intelligence wings of the department and the district administration have been directed to look into those who are raising prices. Action has been directed against those who are black marketers.”
