Mock Drill Conducted in Baripada Ahead of Prez Murmu’s Visit

Baripada: A mock drill was conducted by the Mayurbhanj district administration on Tuesday at the temporary helipad in Ranibandha in preparation for President Droupadi Murmu’s visit to the district on Thursday, May 4.

In order to ensure that the President’s visit to the district goes well and without incident, a mock drill was conducted.

The President will visit Mayurbhanj on May 4, the Mayurbhanj Collector Vinit Bhardwaj stated when discussing the preparations. She’ll be staying through May 6. She has several events planned in the area, all of which have been prepared for, including security measures.

“I’m hoping this visit to our district will be fruitful and uneventful,” Bhardwaj said.

President Droupadi Murmu will arrive at the helipad in Badampahar from which she will fly to Pahadpur on May 4, 2023. She is scheduled to attend a number of events later in Rairangpur. On May 5, Murmu will probably be going to Baripada first and then the Similipal National Park.

She will attend the convocation of Maharaja Sriram Chandra Bhanja Deo University on May 6 before winding up her visit.

Murmu made two previous trips to the state after assuming office in July 2022, and this trip will, however, be limited to the Mayurbhanj district only.
