CBI Seizes Massive Stash Of Cash Amounting To Rs 20 Cr From Former Government Officer

New Delhi: Rajendra Gupta, the former chairman and managing director of the Water and Power Consultancy Services (India) Limited, a Government of India business under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and they took Rs 20 crore in cash from him.

The central probe agency has registered a case against Gupta and his family for amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Raids on the accused’s homes and businesses were carried out at 19 different locations across India, including Delhi, Chandigarh, Panchkula, Gurugram, Sonipat, and Ghaziabad today.

Around Rs 20 crore in cash, accusatory documents, and electronic devices were found on the accused during the searches.
