Odisha Govt Raises Mission Shakti Federation Members’ Meeting Remuneration by ₹500

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has announced a rise in the meeting remuneration for members of the panchayat-level and block-level federations participating in the Mission Shakti program. Effective from October 2023, the remuneration hike amounts to an additional Rs 500 per member.

Under this decision, block-level federation secretaries and presidents will see their remuneration rise from Rs 4,000 to Rs 4,500, while other executive members’ payments will increase from Rs 2,000 to Rs 2,500. Similarly, at the panchayat level, federation secretaries and presidents will now receive Rs 2,500, up from Rs 2,000, and other executive members will see their remuneration rise to Rs 1,500 from Rs 1,000.

The state government’s allocation for this initiative stands at an annual expenditure of Rs 249.21 crore. This move is set to benefit approximately 1,26,010 members affiliated with the Mission Shakti program.
