Odisha’s Gross GST Collection Hits 2nd Highest Mark at ₹5109.33 Cr, Showing 7.59% Growth

Bhubaneswar: Odisha has achieved remarkable milestones in its GST collection for March 2024, marking substantial growth compared to the previous year. According to reports, the state recorded the second-highest ever Gross GST collection, totalling Rs. 5109.33 crore, representing a growth rate of 7.59% compared to March 2023.

This achievement follows closely on the heels of February 2024, where Odisha saw its highest-ever Gross GST collection, amounting to Rs. 5135.81 crore. These figures underscore a positive trend in GST revenue generation for the state.

Additionally, Odisha also experienced a notable increase in State GST collection, totalling Rs. 2305.90 crore for March 2024, marking a significant growth rate of 20.13% compared to the previous year. This follows the trend of high State GST collections witnessed throughout the fiscal year.

The impressive performance in GST collection is indicative of the buoyancy in Odisha’s economy, with 24.40 Lakh waybills generated in March 2024, reflecting an 11.36% growth compared to March 2023.

Overall, Odisha’s progressive GST collection for the fiscal year 2023-24 stands at Rs. 54747.97 crore, showcasing a commendable growth rate of 10.73% over the corresponding period of the previous fiscal year.
