Odisha’s Net GST Collection Crosses Record ₹1853 Cr in October 2023

Bhubaneswar: Odisha achieved a remarkable milestone in October 2023 by recording its fourth-highest-ever net GST collection of Rs 1853.98 crore, marking a substantial 18.21% increase compared to the previous year.

The OGST collection for October 2023 reached Rs 1306.47 crore, reflecting an impressive 23.43% growth rate compared to the same month in the previous year.

The comprehensive tax collection during October 2023, including OGST/IGST Settlement, VAT, Entry Tax, and Profession Tax, amounted to Rs 2831.17 crore.

In terms of Gross GST collection, Odisha collected Rs 4176.94 crore in October 2023, showcasing a 10.81% growth rate compared to the same period in 2022.

For the fiscal year 2023-24, up to October 2023, the state achieved a progressive Gross GST collection of Rs 30893.17 crore, reflecting a solid 10.72% growth rate compared to the corresponding period in the previous fiscal year.

The generation of 21.19 lakh waybills in October 2023, as opposed to 16.65 lakh in October 2022, indicates a substantial 27.26% growth, showcasing the resilience and vibrancy of Odisha’s economic sector.
