Odisha To Get Its 1st Vande Bharat Express In May

Bhubaneswar: If reports are to be believed, Odisha will soon be experiencing the eagerly anticipated Vande Bharat Express train services.

Sources claim that the project’s preliminary development has begun. Primary maintenance on coaches made at the Integral Coach Factory in Chennai has been delivered to Kolkata. The coaches would thereafter travel to Odisha for additional maintenance before being prepared for the inaugural run.

The marquee train would likely run between Puri and Howrah through Bhubaneswar when it is introduced by India Railways.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi would likely flag off the ninth Vande Bharat train in May.

The train will reportedly have only a few stops. The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai is where the Vande Bharat Express was made. It is anticipated that the dates for the inaugural run will be revealed soon.

The beaches at Puri, Odisha, and the nearby Jagannath Temple are popular destinations for pilgrims and tourists from all over the country and West Bengal.

There would be two Vande Bharat Express trains operating in West Bengal if the train does travel the Puri-Howrah route. The other is the Howrah-New Jalpaiguri service, which began operations on December 30 of the previous year.

With 14 AC chair car coaches and two executive AC chair car coaches, the Vande Bharat Express train can accommodate 1,128 passengers. 400 Vande Bharat trains will be operated nationwide during the next three years, according to the government.
