PM Modi Likely to Visit Odisha Twice in February

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to make two significant visits to Odisha in February, reflecting the importance of the state in the political landscape. The first visit, scheduled for February 3, will see the Prime Minister participate in a program at the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) in Sambalpur.

Odisha BJP president Manmohan Samal revealed that a second visit is anticipated on February 10, where Prime Minister Modi is expected to attend a ‘Mahila Samavesh’ (women’s gathering) in Bhubaneswar. The event aims to draw a massive crowd of 14,000 to 25,000 women, signalling the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) efforts to make significant inroads into the Biju Janata Dal’s (BJD) women’s vote bank.

According to Samal, the BJP is organizing two such large-scale Mahila Samavesh events, one in Madhya Pradesh and the other in Odisha. The party is strategically targeting women voters, and the Prime Minister’s presence is expected to amplify their outreach efforts.

While the specific details of the Bhubaneswar event are yet to be confirmed, it is anticipated that Prime Minister Modi will address the gathering of women during the ‘Mahila Samavesh.’
