Santosh Trophy Football: Odisha Crush Pondicherry 5-0 to Extend Win Streak

Bhubaneswar: With yet another significant victory on Monday, Odisha kept up their strong start to their Santosh Trophy campaign.

Following a 7-0 thrashing of Andaman & Nicobar on Saturday, Odisha crushed Pondicherry 5-0 at Capital Football Arena today.

After 28 minutes, the hosts of Group V seized the lead thanks to a goal from midfielder Bikash Sahoo.

T Prabin scored twice for Odisha in the 52nd and 68th minutes of the game.

R Kanna’s own goal made it 4-0 in favour of Odisha, and Rahul Mukhi’s goal in the 84th minute made it 5-0.

Telangana will be Odisha’s next opponent on December 28. Odisha now leads Group V with 6 points.
