East Coast Railway Announces Train Timing Changes for Modernization Work

Bhubaneswar: In order to facilitate the modernization work for the commissioning of a Double Line between Sambalpur City and Maneswar town, as well as the launch of Limited Height Subways (LHSs) between Kansbahal and Rajgangpur railway stations under Chakradharpur Division, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced some rescheduling and cancellation of train services in the Rourkela-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur City-Rairakhol Railway Section. These changes are aimed at improving the railway infrastructure and enhancing passenger experience.

Here are the revised train timings:

1. The departure time of the 20472 Puri-Bikaner Express from Puri on 24.05.2023 has been rescheduled from 0635hrs to 0835hrs on the same day.

2. The departure time of the 20917 Indore-Puri Express from Indore on 23.05.2023 has been rescheduled from 1500hrs to 1700hrs on the same day.

3. The departure time of the 18311 Sambalpur-Banaras bi-weekly Express from Sambalpur on 24.05.2023 has been rescheduled from 1305hrs to 1550hrs.

4. The departure time of the 18478 Rishikesh-Puri Kalinga Utkal Express from Rishikesh on 23.05.2023 has been rescheduled from 0535hrs to 0920hrs.

Additionally, the following trains have been cancelled:

1. The 18125/18126 Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela Express from both directions will be canceled on 24.05.2023.

2. The 18107/18108 Rourkela-Jagadalpur-Rourkela Inter City Express from both directions will be cancelled on 24.05.2023.

Partial cancellation of trains will also be in effect:

1. The 18125/18126 Rourkela-Puri-Rourkela Express from both directions will be cancelled between Puri and Sambalpur on 23.05.2023 and from 25 to 30.05.2023.

2. The 12893/12894 Bhubaneswar-Balangir-Bhubaneswar Inter City Express from both directions will be cancelled between Jujomura and Balangir from 23.05.2023 to 30.05.2023.

Furthermore, some trains will be diverted:

1. The 12871 Howrah-Titilagarh Ispat Express from Howrah on 24.05.2023 will run up to Chakradharpur and return back as a special train from Chakradharpur to Howrah, following the path of the 22862 Kantabanji-Howrah Ispat Express.

2. The 22862 Kantabanji-Howrah Ispat Express from Kantabanji on 24.05.2023 will run up to Jharsuguda and return back as a special train from Jharsuguda to Titilagarh, following the path of the 12871 Howrah-Titilagarh Ispat Express.

3. The 18452 Puri-Hatia Tapaswini Express from Puri on 23.05.2023 will run up to Sambalpur and return back from Sambalpur to Puri as the 18451 Hatia-Puri Tapaswini Express on 24.05.2023. Services of the 18451/18452 Puri-Hatia-Puri Tapas
