Two Dead, Three Injured In Road Mishap In Kendrapara

Kendrapara: At least two persons were killed while three others were sustained in a road mishap near Duhuria Chhak of Cuttack-Chandabali road in Kendrapara district.

The deceased persons have been identified as Dibyajyoti Das of Banahara village and Somanatha Sahu of Badagaon.

According to reports, the incident took place while the victims along with some others with the Dola Bimana were going to join Duhuria Melana when a pick-up van carrying fish hit them from the rear. Subsequently, two persons were killed on the spot while others sustained grievous injuries.

The injured persons were immediately rushed to the nearby hospital for preliminary treatment. Later they were shifted to the Cuttack SCB hospital as their condition worsened.

Upon being informed, police reached the spot and initiated an investigation in this regard.
