Chirag & Satwik Bag Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna, Mohammed Shami Among 26 for Arjuna Awards

New Delhi: The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports announced the recipients of the National Sports Awards 2023 on Wednesday. Chirag Chandrashekhar Shetty and Rankireddy Satwik Sai Raj have been awarded the Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna for their significant contributions to Badminton.

Additionally, 26 athletes will be honored with the Arjuna Awards for their outstanding performances in various sports. Notably, cricketer Mohammed Shami has been recognized for his remarkable contributions to Team India.

The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on January 9, 2024, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, where the awardees will receive their honors from the President of India.
